The Alpine 20 Mil OBA-Free Matte Canvas has been produced for those who would like to take the extra precaution of printing on a truly OBA free poly-cotton inkjet canvas. Acid-Free and PH neutral, Alpine 20 Mil OBA-Free Matte Canvas is coated without the use of optical brighteners. As brighteners deteriorate, they may fade over time and cause works of art to appear yellow. Other OBA-Free products claim to have impressive new formulations that allow greater white points without the use of OBA’s, but this may be misleading. Regardless of these claims Alpine Fine Art believes the one constant that has been true through the test of time is: The brighter the white point, the more the change over time that whiteness will experience, regardless of formulation. Alpine 20 Mil OBA-Free Matte Canvas has struck the perfect balance between a product that has a respectable white point and will hold up for generations without any fancy gimmicks which may come back to haunt your art.
If a change of finish or extra protection is necessary, this canvas is also compatible with water-based liquid coatings like the Alpine Gloss & Satin Advanced Liquid Laminates. Manufactured with the latest microporous inkjet receptive coating, Big Dog Media Solutions Alpine 20 Mil OBA-Free Matte Canvas is compatible with all aqueous printer models that utilize pigmented ink, including the newest formulas (Epson HDX, Canon Lucia EX, & HP Vivid Photo Inks).
This product also has cross compatibility with the HP Latex Inks.
