The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and 3880 printers both use the Epson UltraChrome K3 ink set with 8 Color ink cartridges and 3 black ink cartridges (Light Black, Light Light Black, and either Photo Black or Matte Black).
The 3800/3880 uses 8 ink cartridges to print and carries all 9-cartridge together (C, LC, M, LM, Y, LK, LLK, PK and MK)

Also the UltraChrome K3 ink set color is stable immediately after printing - no short-term color shifting and produces a black density up to 2.55 with an L* value of 2.9*
